Mr Brent Tanner has worked as a Consultant Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon since 1984. First and foremost, his work has been at the Queen Victoria Hospital in East Grinstead, where he was Director of the Burns Unit. The Queen Victoria Hospital was developed during the Second World War to treat the horrific burns of pilots shot down by enemy fire and has become renowned throughout the word for its excellent plastic surgery unit.

Mr Tanner trained at Cambridge University and St. Thomas' Hospital in London before going on to hold junior posts at The Great Ormond Street Hospital for Sick Children, The Birmingham Accident Hospital, The Royal Marsden Hospital in London and Canniesburn Hospital in Glasgow. For the last nine years he has held the post of Honorary Consultant at the Queen Victoria Hospital and devotes himself entirely to Cosmetic Surgery.

Mr Tanner is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, a member of the British Association of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS) and the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS) where he has also been a member of the council. He regularly attends international meetings in Dubai, British Virgin Islands, Rome, Nice, USA and Singapore, giving lectures and pursuing new techniques and innovations. He also gives many lectures all around the UK and mentors young consultants.

Mr Tanner offers cosmetic surgery for individuals who feel the need to revise or change the appearance, colour, texture, structure or position of their bodily features which may otherwise be considered as outside the broad range of "normal." Every individual will have a different idea of what "perfection" is for themselves. The decision to undergo any cosmetic procedure should not be taken lightly and it is essential to have informed and realistic expectations of the results. Patients are always seen by Mr Tanner for their initial consultation and a care plan is made. All costs involved are provided in an individualised quotation

Mr Tanner is supported by a dedicated team of professionals. His anaesthetists have worked with him for twenty years and are members of the Royal College of Anaesthetists. He also works closely with Consultant Psychiatrist and Psychotherapist, Dr Bo Mills, to assist patients who might need extra care to see them through their aesthetic procedures, in particular, those not exactly sure which procedure they would like and may require ''hand-holding" during the process.  Appointments to see Dr Mills can be arranged by phoning the office.   Mr Tanner's specialist nurses have been personally trained by him and are members of the British Association of Plastic Surgery Nurses (BAPSN). As well as providing pre and post operative care, they have a twenty-four hour helpline and also perform other procedures such as the application of cosmetic fillers, thread vein treatment, the removal of sutures and general skin care. Appointments can be arranged through Mr Tanner's administrative office which is located at the Spire Tunbridge Wells Hospital.
