For women who have experienced pregnancy and childbirth, the vaginal muscles and ligaments tend to expand during the delivery and they can become week and loose. This can be uncomfortable and embarrassing and can even lead to sexual dissatisfaction or difficulty. Even after exercise the condition of the vaginal muscles may not improve. In some cases organs such as the uterus (womb), bowel or bladder are not fully supported and can begin to sag down (prolapse), pushing against or through the wall of the vagina. This can lead to problems passing urine and motions. A Vaginoplasty is a procedure to improve the tone of the vagina by tightening the vaginal muscles and supporting tissues.
